780 upgrade to SLI worth it?
Hey all,

I have a single 780 right now and today I learned the new sale price for the same card is $369 (cdn). Is it a good idea to purchase the second card and have an SLI configuration?

Right now I have a 1080p 144hz monitor, but will be purchasing a 4k monitor within the next year. I understand I won't see too big of a difference at 1080p, but I think this SLI configuration would be good for now or stick with one card and just upgrade to a better one in another year or so?

I appreciate you taking the time to read this and give any solutions or suggestions!

yes 2x gtx 780 will easily handle 4k resolution.

Yes if you go for a 4k monitor then you would need a SLI anyway so either sell the gtx 780 and get a 970 or 980 and think about SLI in near future or get another gtx 780 .

Thank you for your answer, I decided to get a second 780 and so far I'm loving it as there is a huge boost in fps in games and im sure there will be enough umph from the two cards to run a 4k monitor when i decide to purchase it.
