Hi,
i have a question, what should I do? Buy a second gtx670 for SLI or go with gtx970?
this is my rig:
i7 3820
gtx 670oc 2gb
16gb Ram Corsair
gigabyte x79 ud3 mainboard
800W GS Corsair Power supply
SSD 128 gb Corsair
and two others HDD 1TB and 750gb
I'm worried if the Power supply can handle a 2 way SLI with gtx670, and if the temperature will get to high, i might have to install a couple more Coolers on the Case to have a better airflow.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

so now I've got the Gtx 970 from gigabyte, but I have a small issue with it, the boot time is extremely long, up to 2 min. Previously with the 670 the boot time was between 20 and 30 seconds before the pc was up and running. I got the latest driver from geforce.com the 344.16 Driver, and the problem still persist.
Do I have to make like a Bios Update? or what could be the problem?
thx
That is very odd. My sli 970 on an SSD has a boot time of about 5 seconds...

Your power supply will cope, even though corsair entry level and the poor capacitors in them, as long as you don't overclock.
Though the GTX 670 SLI will perform better then the GTX 970, I would still take the GTX 970 over it for a few reasons -
If gaming above 1920x1080 the extra Vram will be of use to you
you can always get another one later which will be far better
the GTX 970 has a very high overclocking capability and can be OC'd 1000Mhz higher then stock, that is amazing
Even in SLI, The GTX 970 is a cool running card
Every game you will not have a problem, if you tend to play older titles then SLI may not be an option.
A better card to have for getting the most out of your system for longer. (With two GTX 670's your unlikely to buy a third as scaling is poor and your power supply is insufficient. With the GTX 970 it is worthwhile getting another and is supported by your system.)
