Graphic card says
Says must have Power supply minimum 500W Why... ?

if the power supply has a 6-pin connector isn't that enough ?

for numerous reasons... you may have 4 hard drives, a lot of fans, other devices... 500W would be the safe amount... + PSU degrades... so if you buy a direct amount.. well it will output 20% less in 2-3 years...

another good reason, buy more than you need... a power supply is more efficient at 50% load... I would say, let it be not more than 70-80%... more efficient means that it will generate less heat (electricity lost to heat)....

so manufacturer isnt accurate for good reasons, and you can go lower, but not too low

R7 265 needs a decent 450w PSU.
