Brand new computer for sale, worth it?
Dear all,
A guy ofered me to sell me this computer to play wow raiding 25 men on ultra setting for the coming..

AED 1000$ : Intel i7 4790-K 4.4 ghz turbo, ASUS Z97 mainboard, 8gb G.Skill memory, 1tb Seagate Barracuda HDD, EVGA GTX 750 Ti 2gb, 600w power supply, DVD-RW, comp.case Cougar Volant,

Tour advice is highly appreciated, knowing that i will over clock the gpu only and the price includes gaming keyboard and mouse, both wireless .
I am located in middle east so i can not build cheap computers parts online .

Hello everybody,

I am writting this answer now as a result of all questions i opened about wow raiding.
I built the following computer:
1. Cpu: intel i7 4790k turbo 4.4 overclockable.
2. Gpu: R9 280 sapphire.
3. Z97-k 5x
4. 1tb
5. 8gb g-skill memory.
6. Thermaltake 750 w standard power supply.
7. No cooling system, only 2 fans in the case+ the fans of cpu amd gpu.

Result is : 60 fbs everywhere with shadow option on high and sharpen edges x8
Only time when fbs drops to 47 is on pulling bosses and thats only for few seconds then fbs jump back to 60..
I am so glad with this result
Total cost is 1100$
Did a raid for 4 hours, no heat issues were reported .

Hope this answer will help wow players.. I might add up an evo 212 for extra safe cooling thats all .

Have a nice day everyone ..

Here is my best advice. If you are not, and cannot get someone that is, competent to evaluate that computer, you should probably not buy it. If you can afford to risk the money, then go ahead, there is a chance you've found a decent bargain. If that is so, make sure you can or know how to revert the computer back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Will do sir, thank you so much

This is an Asus computer isn't it?

That was a random selection of equivalent parts (generally choosing the least expensive in each category), not a prebuilt ASUS.

I c sir,

I'm falling off the truck laughing here. That missing zero lead to a lot of confusion. :)  THe newer price is much more reasonable. But WIndows 10 is *still* a red flag. Don't get it without getting installation disks for Windows 7 or 8.

For US prices, pcpartpicker calls it at under $850. Add another $100 for the mouse/keyboard.I don't know what the same parts would cost where you are.

Add in a valid OS in either case.

Well about parts, prices in dubai are hell up .. I hardly managed to make a deal with a shop for the following:
I5 4690 k
R9 280 gpu
Z97-k mpu(k is the lowest in z97)
1 tb
8 kingkston gb ram
212 evo cooling
Corsair psu 750 w bronze
Corsair case 0.3
Windows 8.1

For the cost of 1000$ plus

Advice guyz?
Reminder: i am trying to get a tower to make me raid 25 men on ultra , world of warcraft

True, red flags everywhere , and since im not an expert to test it properly .. Shall i pass??
But what wrong can be in such a desktop?

Stolen parts.
Mislabeled parts.
Badly overused parts (ex-bitcoin mining rig)
The whole thing fell off the back of the truck...

If the actual 'price' is 1,000 Dirham ($272 US), run. Run away fast.

My god , i think i gave wrong info, the price is 1000 $ = 3650 Dirhams
And the guy said its off the box but not used as he said, a french man :)
