NZXT Sentry 2 with AsRock 970 Extreme 4
I want to know if my mother board is compatible with NZXT Sentry 2 fan controller. I also want to know if it will control different types of fans or should all case fans be the same?

My Case is Cooler Master HAF 912
I have 3 Cooler master 120mm (1x front, 1x back, 1x side) case fans.
I am going to add 2 more 120mm fans top, I am planning to get Corsair AF120, if SP120 can be installed I am okay with that also.
But my main concern is will the fan controller do its job I have different types of fans installed in my tower.

Thank you :)

I'm not that into fans, both options are good afaik, but read some reviews for a better judgement.

Well, that answers my question. Getting AF120 is good option or do you suggest a different fan? I can go with Noctua also. I am adding 2 fans to top of my case (exhaust) and 1 in front (intake).

You could control fans which are connected via 3pin or 4 pin molex if that's what you mean. You can't control 4pin pwm fans. It's in that review.
You could control different sizes of fans if that's what you mean.

I did not mean the sizes though, but still thanks for that info. I meant different models of fan, like I said I have 3 CM fans and I am planning to add 3 Corsair fans. I would not control the side fan anyways. I would like to control the top 2, back 1 and front 2. But my question is, will it be effective if I have different fans or should I use same fan (all 5 CM or all 5 Corsair) to get a better control.

This has nothing to do with your motherboard.According to this review is it powered by the psu.It also has connectors for fans powered via a three pin connector or by molex connector. In totall can 5 fans be controlled.

Thanks, how about the 2nd question. Can I control different types of fans or should it be the same ?
