Overclock is gone after waking the pc up from sleep
So I overclocked my fx8320 to 4.7ghz at 1.406v should be pretty stable ran prime small fft for n hr and then prime blend test for another hr. Stable enough for me. Problem is when I put it to sleep and then wake up the pc my core speed drops to 3.7ghz. If I restart the pc everything is fine. Iv been reading around but seems like no one has a solution as to why this happens. Anyone know?

I would try hibernation and see if it retains your overclock that way.

hmm anyone else have any ideas why this happens? I now use a ramdisk and it be nice if I could put the computer to sleep but I would like to keep my overclock. This is really weird why it just drops after the pc wakes up.

Have you disabled turbo and all the power saving bollocks?
