Can somebody recommend a good USB Wifi adapter for a gaming PC?
Greetings,
I have been considering lately getting a USB wifi adapter for my main PC, which I also use for gaming and lots of downloading.
Doing this gets me rid of eight wires total (ethernet and power) because I'll be moving the modem, router and a phone which works via the internet to a different place in the room.
So in the end of it the router is going to be 7-10 meters away from the computer.
So the question is, will any 150mbps wifi adapter do it for me? or do I need to spend some extra money on something better?

I recently got an ASUS USB-N53 Dual Band (2.4GHz 300Mbps/5GHz 300Mbps) Wireless-N USB Adapter

Seems to work, connection speeds are great, and you can get a USB extension cable to move it around if you like.

Given the fact you'll be in the same room and not far from the router, pretty much any adapter will work. If your router supports dual band (2.4/5Ghz) I'd go with a dual band adapter. Otherwise any N capable adapter will do. Stick with name brands you know and you'll be fine.

Wired intenret is much better then wifi. You will be taking a huge step back by going wifi. A even biggeer step back using a USB donlge
