Can someone recommend a good matx motherboard for a micro atx PC build?
Basically, I am looking to build a new PC. My current tower is large and takes up space. I want to build a small factor PC that's good enough for high end gaming. I was thinking of using an AMD processor like the FX8350, but I hear a lot of enthusiast say that an intel cpu is better. I want the case to be able to fit a GTX 980, or 970. Gigabyte cards are huge, so I want to have enough room for one in my build. I would appreciate it very much, if someone could offer advice on what motherboard I should go for and a few other pointers, thanks in advance.

You go either Intel i5-4690k or i7-4970k. But depends on your budget.

**Motherboard** | [Asus MAXIMUS VII GENE Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusvi...) | $207.98 @ SuperBiiz

**Video Card** | [Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card](http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx9804gd5) | $565.91 @ Newegg

Thanks, this makes the search a lot easier. Hey, I was looking through some Micro atx cases and I can't seem to chose between the two that I found. This one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... looks very spacious with the cube design, and looks like it will hold a large aftermarket heatsink. The other case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... is very sleek looking and looks like a premium case. Are there any better than these, I'm looking for one that will make mounting the motherboard easy, because those little screws can be a pain.
