Boot from USB doesn't work (AMI BIOS)
Hi, (First of all sorry for if my english isn't that good, It isn't my first/native language)

Today i got a PC from father he asked me to install windows 8.1 (X64/64-Bit) on it.
First i bought windows 8.1 and Clicked for the ISO option then (i didn't have any CD at home and he was asking for a clean install instead of updating) burned it with the program Rufus 1.4.6 on a 36GB USB , It all worked (~30min) but then when i restart the PC, enter BIOS and set Boot priority to USB it just say's "Checking Nvram..." and then it gives me flash a white stripe 5/6 times (_), Also for some reason i need to press Quit & Don't Save instead of Quit & Save because when i do press Quit & Save (F10 here) it just restarts the PC.

I tried the USB on my own PC and it worked fine but when i try it on his one, The results are always the same, I know the procedure for flashing a new windows over an old one since i already done this twice on my own PC.

His Specs are quite old actually, i made it for him a couple of years ago between 2006-2008
Motherboard :Asus M3N78-VM
CPU : AMD athlon 7750 Dual-Core
GPU : ATI AMD Radeon HD 3400 Series
Ram : 3GB DDR3
Windows : Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Bios : AMIBIOS v2.61

Mine are :
Motherboard : Asus 2011 Sabertooth X79
CPU : Intel Core I7 3370K Quad core
GPU/Graphics card : MSI GeForce GTX 780 gaming 3G
RAM : 12 GB DDR3

I don't think that it's because of spec since he does have the Min Requirments.
I hope someone know a solution to this problem.

With the USB device in the PC, boot it and try pressing F8 (often) from when you hit the powe button (stop if you get the windows splsh screen).

I am not 100% sure that F8 will do it, but there is usually a key that will bring up an option to select boot device (one time thing-without going through the BIOS). If F8 doesn't work - see if it says something like press <F9> to select boot device or <del> to enter bios/ufei.
