Fan Queries need an answer
1.on my h97-gaming 3 mobo (gigabyte) i have multiple fans plugged into them, 4 of which i can see in the system, but there is a mystery fan according to SIV (bios system info viewer). siv lets me change the speed of the fan, but when ever i turn all fans of except that one, i can not see any of them moving (except the gpu one and the psu one, which when i turn all fans of they continue to run). Where is it???
2. the fan plugged into my mobo's fan cpu opt port (whatever that means) on some occasions doesnt run at all utill i restart the pc. when it isnt running and i try to change a setting in siv it 'sais' that it is disabled or not connected. i made sure it was connected (well i tried) and it still failed to work some times.
3. apon using siv, when i manually change the fan speeds, it does not save the settings after a reboot. can i fix this? or is it just a gigabyte FAILURE!
4. My pc has win/8.1 installed, but on the start menu it doesnt let me open apps such as 'news', 'weather', 'the store' and 'sport'. any help?
5. is it ok running my cpu fan (the defult one that comes with an i5 4690 cpu) at a defult of 1500 rpm at the temperatures below 35 (which is my mid pcu load averege) and then 2000rpm at 44 degrees (Celsius) or will it wear the motor out?
thanks for any help
