AMD Radeon 6530D overheating?
My 2 year old HP desktop with an AMD A6 3650 and Radeon HD 6530D inegrated graphics has experienced a problem after installing amd catylist software and updating video drivers. I have seen an artifact after playing Microsoft Flight Simulator X, the artifact was on the start menu and was different shades of pink. I have run MSFSX for the time i have had the computer and it has always run great until resently were i started getting only 8 fps. I brought the computer to a repair shop and the tech said the gpu had overheated and failed from playing MSFSX. He said that even watching Hi-Res videos would overheat the graphics card. The Power supply has also made a high pitch sound that is intermittent since it was new. i replaced the psu early this week, the noise has a different tone, but is still there. the oem psu was 300w, and i upgraded it to a 350w. i have since reverted the graphics driver and had no problems. My fans do not spin at max speed and my cpu runs about 50-60 degrees celcius when playing MSFSX. The tech did not even check my computer, he just plugged it in and jumped to selling me a 2K gaming computer. My PC has not shut down and passed all the graphics, cpu, and MoBo tests on Hp vision hardware diagnostics. I run MSFSX at high to ultra high setting while mantainitng a 35-40 fps no problem. Do any of you guys think my GPU has an issue or was it just a driver issue? And what could be causing the power supply noises?

That tech... You could overheat your GPU. While that's true, he is STRAIGHT UP STUPID. If the GPU is overheating, the CPU goes with that. There's a reason why it's called AN APU.

Hope that guy check your computer's fans for dust. That APU lasted for a while, and probably gathered some dust. If there isn't any problem, then we'll see of what happened.

I dust out my pc every month and check all the connections, the tech did not even open it, he just talked. So the graphics chip is built into the cpu correct? And the pc would shut off if the apu overheated correct?
