290x of coarse. with Mantle growing due to consoles and the 512MB bus its not going anywere soon. OC it and compete with a 980. No to mention the PCS+ is faster than most 209X models. witha PSU like that there is no reason to worry about TDP, at the end of the day if you benched them in 10 games 290x would win at least 7 if not all 10. Lets also not gorget it has bridgless crossfire and GCN 1.1 which means it would be faster for a longer period of time due to console games being mad on it. Either way you cant lose. I was gonna get a 970 but i feel with the 300 series coming soon with HMB and 20nm i can wait a while with my 6970s in crossfire

Definitely get the GTX970, price/performance is amazing, it is power efficient, cool, etc.
SLI scaling is also very good on GTX970.

I'd get the 970. It is amazing for the price. And it has tons of VRAM to boot. Power isn't a issue but Nvidia does have better drivers. (I know cuz I owned 2 Nvidia GPUs before this AMD one)
