should i upgrade my Sli 780tia/
I currently have 2 Evga Superclocked 780 ti's in sli. Should i upgrade to Sli 980? There is not much of a performance increase, but the extra vram would be nice.

Has anyone heard about a possible 980ti?

Right now, im running a Asus 144 hz 1080p monitor but am planning on getting the 1440p one.

Any opinions, facts etc appreciated

you can enable sli in nvidia control panel for shadow of mordor. go in to manage 3d settings, choose shadow of mordor and Cuda gpus- all
then Sli rendering mode - force alternate frame rendering 2

it works perfectly

Not worth it, wait for the "big Maxwell" cards, the successor to the 780 ti.

Currently Sli is not supported however whilst looking for the thread with this info on another forum I did find another thread saying an update is in development for Sli support.

You don't need the extra VRAM.
It is true that the VRAM doesn't add up,but you do not need more horsepower.780 Ti in SLI is a great setup.

Shadow of mordor wants 6 gb of vram to run ultra. Now i know that ram doesnt add up on each card, but i can run ultra on 3 gb in sli without stutter. More and More games are gonna follow that trend. thats why im asking for opinions

Not worth the money. Even at 1440p, 3GB of VRAM should be fine for a while.

If you need or want more performance, OC the cards.

2x GTX 780 Ti is powerful enough to handle games at 1080p for at least 5 years from now.
I don't see the point of wasting money on getting something that is maybe 10-15% stronger than your current setup.
