Ok, also, how much wattage does a GTX 650 and 970 take up, I'd like to see if my power supply is ok.Nvidia requires a 500w PSU for 1 card (double post)
My bad.
Your current card requires 400w.
New card 500w.
Not huge. but enough to warrant a check of what you have.

The 970 actually takes less power than the 650.

Well what motherboard do you have?As long you have a PCIE x16 slot, you should be fine. It is a standard so any PCIE gpu will work in that slot.
If you want to know if you can fit it in your pc case, check the clearance of your case at where the card will be installed and check the length.
His current card is PCI-E so it will fit the MOBO fine.
Check if it will fit your case.
Check how many watts your PSU can push.
Nvidia requires 500w for 1 card
