I'm debating whether to SLI my 760 or spend the money on a higher end card. Thing is I have a 1920x1080p Asus VS239H-P monitor. Currently I can pick up another 760 for $215 or buy a 970 for $421 dollars.
One powerfull GPU is ALWAYS better than two not so powerfull GPU's. I'd rather sell the 760 and get the 970, its more futureproof and it produces less heat. Also, you need a pretty good PSU to SLI.
well I've got a c70 case, and 2 intake and 1 exaust CM jetflo led fans not counting 2 rad fans pulling air through the radiator. I'm just wondering like how futureproof is 2 760's. Will I be able to use that for at least 3 years?
I think you can do very well with pair of 760's for at least next two years.

If you already got one and there are difficulties to sell it then you'd better go for the second one. But if there is no problem to sell it..then sell it and buy 970. It's always the better way to go with 1 card if possible because SLI/CrossfireX always got some issues in games (like stuttering, fps drops due to bad optimisation for such crossed systems etc.).
Also for SLI you always need a better case because of airflow thing, I mean 2 cards together produce a lot of heat.. much more then one alone there.
So think about it and go the way which is right for you.
