Updating GPU in HP Pavilion HPE h8-1070uk please help me
Hello im trying to update my graphics card in my HP Pavilion HPE h8-1070uk from nvidia gt545 but im having trouble finding one that is actually compatible with my motherbord which is a HP IPISB-CH2 (Chicago).

I have been looking on this site at cards that are compatible: http://www.pc-specs.com/mobo/HP/HP_IPISB-CH2_(Chicago)/1627/Compatible_GPUs.

I decided i would go for a Nvidia gtx 660 but after speaking to someone on Amazon have since been told that although Hp say that gtx 660 is compatible its actually not.

Im not really sure where to go from here now and am lost for cause and could really use some help as i have no idea what to do.

Thanks steve.

HP is always difficult to guarantee a card will work in them. They have been know to 'lock' their BIOS so the only cards that the machine will recognize is ones they sell or recommend. If I were you, I'd hang around the HP forums and find out what your machine has been know to play ice with.

Or consider selling it and building yourself a nice retail PC that you can easily upgrade as time goes on.
