Help NEW COMPUTER BUILD SHOWING NO SIGNAL!! *PICTURES*
I'm building my first system and the wiring all seems correct. The system boots up but when connected to the monitor it doesn't show anything except no signal detected.
These are my parts CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
GPU: GTX 760
Mthrbd: Gigabyte H97M D3H
Case: Corsair Carbide SPEC 03
Power: Cooler Master G550M
RAM: Kingston Fury 8GB DDR3
HDD: Western Digital Black 2TB
Monitor: BenQ VW2245/ASUS VX228H 60HZ
I've tried everything but it's still stt working. I went through the 31 steps thing that's on this page too. Please help. The motherboard only has 4 mounts which fit perfectly into the case although there are 9 holes in the motherboard. The rest of the mounts are all far too far away ffor my mobo to reach. Help.

Sorted the problem out mate thanks for all the help. I just needed to put the VGA to DVI adapter that came in my box into the VGA cable on the moniter and into the GPU and not the mobo. Thanks though.

what i mean is insert the GPU then connect it to monitor via VGA to VGA, DVI to DVI, HDMI to HDMI cable - basically try every cable (make sure you are connected via GPU not mobo and check if the fan is spinning). if still doesnt work then try it with your HD TV or other computer. else the GPU is probablely faulty

Well the driver cannot be installed without having a graphics card in.... I tried checking bios to see what's up but I can't find abything. The PSU is 550W and it seems to be powering up the GPU but I have no idea what's happening. I put in the PSU wires instead of the wires that came with the GPU. I inserted the GPU properly. I heard a click but no signal.

well have you installed the graphic card driver yet? make sure the connection is secure and tight

installed the graphic card>connect to monitor with VGA or tried different connections till it show up on you monitor>install graphic card driver> connect to monitor with what you want like HDMI.

if that doesnt work then you graphic card maybe faulty

Askara thanks that did work. BUT now that I've installed Windows and everything I put in my graphics card and the same thing happens. What did you do? I'm flummoxed.

can you tell me how you connected to the monitor ? i just finished my pc build few week ago and notice the same problem but it a pretty simple problem.

basically you need to install driver before you can use the DVI/HDMI port of the GPU(cant remember but maybe the mobo too).

so i recommend you to take out the GPU, connect monitor to mobo via a VGA connection(or try HDMI/DVI), if it works then install the OS first. then connect the GPU and monitor via VGA and install the driver before using HDMI/DVI

Read the manual on how to update the BIOS. If its going / if you want to update it

I've checked that and I've certainly got it in the mobo. How would I do the f3 thing btw? I'm trying to upupload a picture as well how do I do that?

One possible reason its not going it needs F3 of the BIOS on that mobo

Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz 6MB 350 MHz / 1200 MHz Haswell Refresh 22nm C0 88W 100 F3

If this isnt on it now it wont do anything

Are you connected to the GPU video out rather than the motherboard video out?
