How portable is the BitFenix Prodigy?
So I'm building a LAN PC and my question is how portable the Prodigy is. If you have any better options feel free to tell me.

It kinda depends how you definite "portable". It's not particularly small and the handles aren't useful for carrying (I'd actually say they make it more awkward to carry than a more conventional small tower) but the fairly compact depth+height dimensions can be useful - I managed to fit mine very nicely in a suitcase for travel.

It really depends on your component selection really as it's likely the most portable cases will be the smallest ones which will have an impact on what you can fit inside - cases like the Hadron Air.

If you want something with a handle that's easy to lift then the Corsair 380T seems to be the best option, but it's very wide and generally large and doesn't have the component flexibility of a Prodigy, as well as costing a big chunk of cash more.

If you do feel a Prodigy is your best option due to it's inherent flexibility then I totally disagree with the poster above. The mATX version is basically useless for most builds and the handles are not very useful for carrying, additonally the windowed versions are not helpful for controlling graphics card temps. As for general cooling, the stock fan setup isn't great but this is due to the quality+location of the two included fans rather than a need for extra fans - you can comfortably live with two fans in a Prodigy as long as you get a better located front fan (140mm+) and stick something decent in the rear location. Fans in the roof may be beneficial to some builds but are generally counter-productive.

Well it has those handles, which are handy, and the case itself isn't big or heavy. So yeah, it's basically made to be a pretty good PC to be carrying to LAN parties. There's a mATX version, and an ITX one.

Other options.. well, I guess any somewhat tiny case that isn't too heavy would do. Fractal has the Node 304 and 804, Corsair the Air 240, and I'm sure there's more like those. The carrying handles of the Prodigy are handy though, although you will need to invest in its airflow options, the amount of fans that come standard with the case isn't enough - you pretty much need to utilize all the fan options it has to have a good airflow.
