Need help on building the components.
Hello, I'm not very knowable about the pc components, so I would like to ask some questions regarding it.
Here are my pc specs (would have added it from pcpartpicker, but couldn't find some of my components on there) -

So I'm thinking about upgrading my pc, mainly only ram from 4 to 16 (read below why) and later other things, because I can't get the necessary money instantly. But here's the thing, looking at my pc parts I noticed they're kind of 'out of the league' at today's standards so I thought maybe I could save up the money and buy whole new pc, but then there comes another dilemma - where would I put my exiting pc, because I don't want it to just lay around in the dust after buying the new one.

Here are some main things I'm doing on pc - every day editing and rendering videos (thinking about 16gb not 8gb ram), and also in free time playing some games (looking forward to GTA 5). So 40% gaming and 60% video editing.

So the question is - should I upgrade some of the pc parts or build a new one (with some parts saved from my previous build)?

Upgrade the ram then if your motherboard supports it, no problem. Go ahead and get the ram, and save up and buy the new mobo and cpu later.

Got it. But I just checked, my exiting motherboard supports your suggested ram.
I want to get new ram more urgently, because I'm rendering and editing videos on daily basis and upgrading ram would be super useful, plus I have the money for ram already, but for motherboard+cpu I would need to earn more.
So if my motherboard supports that ram, should I get it or STILL earn more to buy motherboard+cpu first and then other componements?

I would buy the motherboard and cpu first if possible, the motherboard you have may not support the ram as it is an old motherboard. Try get the motherboard and cpu first and THEN get other components such as ram, gpu etc.
You can try for a 256 ssd a bit later as it will help with loading windows and running it very fast.

Thank you for the answer. What if I add that ram on my exiting build and later buy other compenemts? Would it all stick together and work?

Here is an approximate conversion of what you could get for 400 Euros

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kXswkL
Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kXswkL/by_merchant/

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor ($299.93 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($142.99 @ Newegg)
Total: $522.91
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Conversion: 522 US Dollar equals 411.67 Euro
Approximately 430 euros if you factor out 1 rebate and shipping and other things.

Hmm.. Hard to say, because I'm not working and getting around 100eur a month from internet. I would say 400eur max.

But what would you say about if I would get 16gb ram in this build and later build the whole new pc? Because It's kind of urgent to get my videos to render faster by getting a bigger ram.
