difference in gtx 970s
I'm looking two gtx 970s from evga the ones that have the blower shroud on them and the two different kinds have a 1.14 clock speed and the other has a 1.04 clock speed my question is is the speed difference that important i was thinkng of going with the slower one if not

EVGA uses cheap parts on the 970s and mine has some good coil whine to it (very common problem with EVGA 970s atm). Steer clear. Gigabyte probably has the best 970, followed by ASUS and MSI

I don't recommend EVGA for the 970 as the ACX 1.0 Cooler is misaligned , The slower clocked one isn't factory overclocked and is tested stably at 1.04 Ghz while the other one is overclocked to 1.14 ghz and is stable at that.

Usually you can overclock far more than that yourself so that shouldn't really affect your decision , however with that being said what you should consider is the design ( whether you like it or not ) , the cooling solutions , the length of the card and its performance.
