If suppose, I Crossfire this, then what maximum resolution monitor can it support? And what added advantages do I get?

(P.S.- I have no idea about Crossfiring! So please help.)

With a 1080p display a single card will allow most games to play an max/near max settings while maintaining good frame rates. If you add a 2nd card, you should improve frame rates by AT MOST 80%. That would either allow you to max out all games at 1080p or move up to a 1440p display and still have max/near max settings in most games.

The R9-270X is the HD-7870 factory OC re-branded.

I have changed my decision to Asus AMD/ATI R9 280X Direct CUII 3GB GDDR5 Graphics Card. It's better, isn't it?

Quite a bit better, yes: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1041?vs=1043
