I'm building a $500 budget gaming PC and for the CPU I am planning to use the FX-6300. Is it a good bang for buck cpu? Answer niko24 October 13, 2014 5:27:09 AM Yes it is. The alternative is a Pentium G3258 from Intel. Pair it with cheap H81 mobo + stock cooler and you'll go to 4.2 Ghz OC. Pair it with 270X and you "ready to go" (750Ti for a cheaper solution, but still an "OK" gaming rig). Regards Best solution chosen by TheGuyMan Script October 13, 2014 5:24:15 AM Can be a great CPU when paired with a decent card. Would recommend the R9 270X for a build like this. Coodrow October 13, 2014 5:23:28 AM It's pretty good for it's price. I'm actually building a PC soon using this CPU and from what I've heard it's pretty decent. See all answers
