Office/browsing pc build for my mom.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sdpGdC

Planning on building something like this for my mom, just curious as to what you guys thought about it and if it would be pretty quick with things like quickbooks, word, excel, Facebook, and YouTube. Would this be able to stream hd videos as well.
Thanks!

Why the i3 or 7600 over the one that I have chosen? Just curious

For the same price the i3 is a much better investment than any offering from AMD, if the pc's purpose is for office work and videos. It simply has the better chipset of the both, much better singlethreaded performance. And it even manages to beat that 5800k at multithreaded performance. The point is : When you are paying a price, why not get the best out of it?

You are overbuilding that system for the use you want it for. AMD A4 or A6 (if she will play games on it, A8 or the A10 you picked is fine then), 4 GB RAM and a 300 Watt pwer supply is plenty. SSD idea is not bad, will make the system respond a lot better and unless you will be storing movies or a ton of programs on it, you don't need a 1tb drive. This RAM will save you $15 and is just as good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... 8 gb is not really needed for basic use but with the onboard video of the APU it will help to get more free RAM for Windows use.

Some suggestions for you:
1. Include a 128 gb ssd in your build. Install the os and office and other main apps on it. Surprise your mom with the zippy speed.
2. An A10 5800k is not the cpu you should be looking for if you want an office build. Go for an i3 4xxx. Or atleast the A8-7600 with steamroller cores.

I have made 1 builds consistent with the suggestions I gave
1. The Intel build (Recommended): http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dwLdJx

Or if you really want to go with AMD: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b4HqwP

The build looks good, but two things to consider. First, if you need to purchase Windows, a prebuilt might be cheaper. I know a build like that through HP runs $400. Second, it also might be easier on your to go prebuilt since she can call the OEM for support whenever.

Seems quite solid. :)
Will do everything you mentioned and all components are quality.

AMD CPUs tend to run a bit hot, so add a Hyper 212 EVO cooler for 30$. Just make sure it works in the chassis. I think it does.
