motherboard bottleneck ?
My system:
FX-6300 @ 4,6 Ghz
Saphhire R9 270
8 GB Kingmax 1333 Mhz
Seagate Barracude 1 TB 7200 rpm
SAGA II 550W power supply

aaand the ASUS M5A97 R2.0

im not getting the expected performance so far.. i mean i saw a guy on yt with the same cpu @ gpu in crysis 3 in very high getting 40-70 fps im barely getting 40 in high and its also not smooth. CS:GO has relatievly low fps with huge drops and laggy gameplay. however bf3 ran relatievly well.

-all drivers up to date
-freshest bios
-temps are good (cpu about 55° gpu 57-58° while gaming)
-hard drive and psu are working fine

all i can think about now that the old 970 chipset somehow holds me back from getting the performance i should be. what are your thoughts?

Unselected myself as the Solution... at some stage pick the person that has provided the best help or closest solution when you feel your questions have being answered to your satisfaction ;)

that psu is in tier 4 on the toms psu tier list and is not recommended..

view here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supp...

look at tier 4 and you see that psu is not gonna be sufficien .. tier 3 or better is advised like the evga i recommended .. its best you buy the psu i recommended earlier in the post from ebay or amazon and have it delivered to you in your country
