Thoughts on my first build?
AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
PNY 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Asus GeForce GTX 770 2GB DirectCU II Video Card
Rosewill Galaxy-01 ATX Mid Tower Case
Antec Basiq 500W ATX Power Supply

I already have a 1tb WD drive. Planning to use this primarily for gaming and OC the 8350 to at least 4.2.

Thoughts?

In my current budget I could potentially change that list around a bit, where would my money best be spent (which components on there are the weakest)? I also was wondering if I will have any bottlenecking issues in any game with the gtx770 and the 8350OC'd?

From where are you buying your PC components?

IF you could though, you can stretch justttt alittle bit and you can acquire say an MSi GTX 970 to replace the GTX 770. The price of a brand new 770 is not too far out to the price of the MSi GTX 970. You also get benefits of 4 GDDR5 memory + lower power consumption + lower TDP + and better performance.

You can also change the Ram with 2 x 4 GB DDR3 at 1600 mhz (from say G.SKill rams are good) then you can use the little bit of saved money and add it on the GPU to get the 970.

You should be okay with the build, just do a decent OC on that AMD chip and you will be alright. As you mentioned 4.2 or 4.4/4.5. Its whats nice about the AMD chips, they can be overclocked to get the extra omf :) .

is okay I think. I would replace that power supply though, with something like an Seasonic 520, XFX 550 or Antec HCG 520M
