Is this the chosen one?
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/Xq7Myc just looking for a check of the communities view of this. A reply would be great.

That's a matter of some debate. Some good reviews, some not so much. This site lists it as a "Tier 3" product, squarely middle-of-the-road and the main feature is that it's probably not going to catch on fire. Which is roughly how I feel about it as well.

I'd probably trust it to run a medium system that does not have a powerful graphics card and generally doesn't stress the power supply much. But if you're spending $1,000+, come on, sack up and fork out the extra $30 or so to get a no-doubt PSU.

If you got the money, its a an all Okay build in terms of components.

Although I would replace the Power supply with something else. Something from any of this list's brand series:

Antec
High Current Pro - 1200 watts
High Current Platinum series

Be Quiet Dark power pro P10 (Greater than 750 Watts)

Corsair
AX / AXi series (MK1 AX series is also an excellent choice)
AX1500i (MK3 AX platform, Titanium efficiency)
HXi Series

Cooler Master V series

EVGA
Supernova G2
Supernova P2

Kingwin Lazer platinum series
PC Power & cooling Silencer series (Only above 610 Watts)
LEPA G1600

Seasonic
M12 II 650 / 750 / 850w (Includes EVO series)
Platinum series (Fanless or not)
X series

Silverstone Nightjar 520w Platinum

Super Flower
Leadex Gold series
Leadex Platinum series

XFX
Black edition series
XTS Fanless 460w
XXX series

Also if you got no problem with money, might as well replace the 4770K for the 4790K Devils Canyon.

Apart from that, All good.

The build looks good to me I'd check to see what price you can get the i7-4790K for, it is the Haswell refresh version of the i7-4770K. Enjoy your new machine.

Pretty solid all around, and for the right price.

The only complaint I have is that the power supply is a stick of poo - CX series is not the same as other Corsair PSUs, so I'd go with a different one.

Also, you do not really *NEED* a $150 case ... if you like the way it looks it's a matter of opinion, I suppose. But there are plenty of cases that look decent and have good airflow for half that price IMO. All depends if it's worth it to you.

PSU is fine.

I don't see any problems with that build at all, its a good one. The only thing I could comment on is to double check all prices are the cheapest at the stores you buy them from so you get the best buy.
Oh and maybe check on the i7-4790k, if it isn't too much more expensive it is a better pick cause it has better cooling, but if its much more at all don't worry about it.
