PSU and GPU Wattage Issue
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/HjsKNG

That is my build and I have ordered all parts including a Sapphire R9 280x, my question is will the 500W PSU be good enough for my GPU and other parts? Or should I return my PSU and order a better one with higher wattage.

I am not looking to overclock or any additional actions.

The PSU that you listed is one of the PSUs brand and models I recommended. It is produces by Seasonic and it is pretty solid.

Thanks to all fast replies! Will return the PSU when it arrives and get a new one.

From what I could find it's looking like a minimum 30A for that card and your psu puts out 38 that's close

anymore its hard to go below a top end 650w psu for todays stuff and I rarely ever need to worry about these things don't go cheap on your psu next time

I would advice against a Corsair CX or VS series PSU. Corsair CX and VS PSUs use lower quality capacitors which tend to die around the warranty end period. I would advise to get a 500W Seasonic, Be quiet! (Avoid their gaming series), Corsai AX, TX, HX, RM series, XFX Pro/Core series, Rosewill Capstone, Enermax Thriathlor, Cooler Master VSM (and only VSM, other Cooler Master PSUs are very bad). There are just on tip of my mind.
