New Gaming rig.
So, if you've been seeing my other threads, you'll see that I'm experimenting with different parts to create a new gaming rig. Here's one I just came up with. Please leave some feed back. I'd like it to be able to at least play games like battlefield, far cry 3, and skyrim at at LEAST medium to high settings. Here it is: (By the way, I have about a $700 dollar budget.)

Case: DIYPC Gamemax08-G

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 660 2GB

Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 LGA

PSU: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W

Memory: HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3

Hard Drive: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB

OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit

PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK! Thanks!

^I agree with that. AMD is the better bang for the buck.

If you could bump up the GPU just a little bit, you'll be happier for longer. For example an r9 280 on sale for about $20 more

Or you could go with a used HD 7970 for the same price or probably a little less; it is the equivalent of the r9 280x.

well I put it on PCparts picker for you.
Alhough I changed some of the parts.

>The PC Case was non existant ( I just couldnt find it on Pcpartpicker :)  ) although there were other DIYPC cases I saw. I replaced it with the Z9 Case. You can change the case to your liking.

>The PSU I replaced with an XFX 550W which is more than enough and much better than the CX line from Corsair
>The rest I followed I included the Windows 8.1 Too.
>I also included a Hyper 212 Evo Cooler
>The Z9 case can fit the Hyper 212 Evo, I can vouch for it as I have a Z9 my self.
>The Mobo needs new updates upon installation so that it will run the Haswell Refresh CPU you have chosen
>I have replaced the Ram with still the same 2 x 4 GB ram but cheaper and still high quality

1 Thing is certain, if the 700 usd price doesn't include an OS, you could use the extra money from it and instead get a GTX 970.

Just use this as reference, someone else might also give you better recommendation than this so check their recommendations too :)

Looks like a pretty decent rig. I would swap the psu for something from Seasonic. I like Corsair, but not all of their psus are good and they have had QC issues across the board as of late. Is that memory kit two sticks? If not, you will need 2x 4GB kit to run dual channel. One more thing, do you really want Windows 8.1 instead of 7?
