GPU similar to the R9-280X?
Hello. I am building my first PC but I am stuck on what GPU to buy. :(

I'm ready to buy the Sapphire R9-280X... But I wondered if there were any other cards for the same price and specs that will deliver the same or better performance in gaming. Thank you!

I've got two Asus R9 280x and they're amazing. I've overclocked both of them to 1200 Mhz while the base clock from Asus is only 1070 Mhz. I thnk that's a really big overclock for this card. It's by far the cheapest out of all the manufacturers too! [link]. If you've got prime that is. But you can always do the 30 day free trial.

This is a hair faster (3%) and a lil cheaper than most of the Sapphires...one of the Sapphires is $5 cheaper

Well the stock 280x is 3% slower than the stock 280x

The MSI 280x is 1% slower than the 770
The MSI 770 is 3% faster than the stock 770

So a 4% difference outta the box.... that gap grows in you are overclocking as the 7xx cards have more headroom than the R9s

Any other 280X, obviously. The comparable Nvidia product is the 770, which lose in some benchmarks and wins in others, so it's not a straight even comparison.
