Pricing gap between GTX 980 and 970
This has come to bother me more and more over the past couple of weeks. there is a gaping $200+ hole between the GTX 980 and 970 on the Nvidia line-up. and while both are great products, it just seems unatural. and if it weren't for a lack of a competitive product on the AMD side, I would say that Nvidia is begging for AMD to stuff the $350-550 segment with their own products. Let's keep in mind that the GTX 780 and 780ti have been discontinued, so once they're off the shelves, Nvidia will have NOTHING to fill a $200+ price segment in the high-end

all of this has led me to find all those GM200 and GTX 980Ti rumors out there to seem more and more credible. Nvidia seems more than ready to drop the 980 to the $450-500 range, and put something above in at maybe $600-700. what do you guys think

The gap in nvidia GPU is always big gtx 770 and gtx 780 has also the same gap in pricing but in my opinion going for 2x gtx 970 is better than paying 100$ less for a single gtx 980 and gtx 980 is 15- 20 fps better than gtx 970.
