system hangs and goes not responding
my computer frequently becomes not responding. That is, no change happens to screen and I have to restart the computer to recover. I have ubuntu alongside windows 7. This problem often shows in windows 7, but ubuntu also got this problem once. So I think this is a hardware problem.
I have a basic system. My system specifications are:
pentium dual core 3GHz cpu
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)
DirectX version DirectX 10
Samsung B2030 monitor
no graphics card

thanks in advance.

You should probably upgrade your RAM, very likely it is getting filled up ad then it relies on the hard drive for temporary data, also known as paging, which causes major slowdowns. I would recommend looking into a new computer.
