In my other thread I mentioned that I was having issues and I finally managed to narrow it down to being a faulty gpu. I currently have an AMD HD Gigabyte 7850 2Gb. I've been gaming for about a year now and it's already failing
I was looking at getting the GeForce 780 but I don't know for sure if I have a good setup for the card and that's where I ask of your help
AMD FX-6300 six core @3.5GHz
ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0 motherboard
2x4Gb (8Gb) G-Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1333MHz RAM
Corsair HX 750w
Mid sized Raidmax case
Thank you in advance! =]

I'm pretty sure the GTX 970 will fit now, but since the card needs PCi 3.0 interface, my mobo only has PCi 2.0. Will the card be compatible with the mobo? This is my current mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...I apologize for all the questions, but I'm just making sure that everything will be compatible and not damage the new gpu.
Yes, no problem. PCI Express is a backward compatible interface. Besides, no single GPU gfx card available today can saturate the bandwidth of even the 2.0 slot @ X16 lanes.
Thank you so much for the quick reply
I just bought the card, I hope I can continue gaming like I should be! I heard a lot of good things about this card

Yes you have the requirements for such a card. But the GTX 970 would be a better choice for not a whole lot more money:http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1036?vs=1355

Okay, I'm looking to get the 970, but I'm skeptical if it would fit inside a mid-sized case. People are saying a full-sized case would be better, but I'm just curious. Also, these cards are going fast!!

Ok thanks!
Another guy int he previous thread mentioned the 970 so I may get that instead since it's a newer card for only 20 dollars more than the 770. Thanks for the reply
I'll get back with you all if you mention something else or until I get the new card. Cheers!
