Can I still run games with a Radeon HD 7770 1gb?
I have been looking at new games releasing like Alien, Shadow of Mordor and The Evil Within but am concerned that as the new generation of consoles has come that I cannot properly run games this holiday season. My budget build has served me well the last couple of years, but can my card still hold its own with mid-range graphics? I am a freshman at university so I dont know when will be my next opportunity to upgrade. I have an i5 3570k at the moment if you are curious, so I think my GPU is really the only particularly weak part of my rig. Thanks for any information and advice!

I've a MSI 7770 Ghz Edition and i've got Mordor and alien.
Mordor run in med/high 60fps in 1080p, with an i5 3450 and 8Go of RAM.
Alien runs smoothly in ultra.
Enjoy :)

Of course. My family computer that my brother games on is running a crazy old HD 4850 and manages fairly well if you don't push it. One of the better parts about the pc gaming industry these days is the insane amount of optimization devs are pulling off with certain games.
Can you maybe find another cheap one and crossfire them? Keep your PSU in mind when considering that option. If you can do that you'll get respectable frame rates on decently high settings.

it should be ok, just dial it down on the settings. don't expect ultra settings, mid should be ok for most games. i'd trade good fps over slide show fps with eye candy
