ethernet cable stopped connecting
About 2 months ago, i built a computer and it was working well until one day, after turning it on, i pressed no to a certain update of sorts. Afterwards, i could not hook my computer up to ethernet, wherever i tried. It had worked before. I changed to a new location thinking it might just be my home network rejecting ethernet and i can use ethernet elsewhere, but alas, i tried today and it did not work. i updated the drivers using msi live update, but still no luck.

Has anyone run into this problem before?

To add to what @ronintexas said, if the cable is detected on the motherboard, the light on the port will light up green, if data is being transferred, it will flicker another colour.

Are there lights on the ethernet adapter lit up? Also - on the router, does your port light up?

Have you tried another port on the router?
