PSU overkill is dangerous\expensive? (elerticity bill)
I got a sweet deal on a 1250X Seasonic modular gold rated PSU. My system will have SLI 970 and a noctua nh-d15, so itll take a 750~850 PSU to handle it. the question is if I can get a 1250 at the price of a 850 modular one at the same grade, should I go for the 1250 or it will hurt my electricity bill?

It will only pull as much as it needs and as a gold rated unit it will still be efficient at low loads. The problem with overkill used to be that at low loads the psu was inefficient but with a gold unit you wont have that problem

It's a great deal you got there, buy with both hands! Well, the PSU won't suck an extra watt than needed, so you're all good with bills, it won't be ANY different than a 750/850W PSU.

Thank you sir!
