ROG Striker GTX 760 vs GTX 770
So I've been wanting to upgrade my graphics card for a long time now and I'm set on these two, the ASUS ROG Striker GTX 760 with 4GB of VRAM and the GTX 770 with 2GB of VRAM. Seeing as VRAM is getting really important lately for 1080p gaming I'm really torn which one of these two I should go for. I have the budget for either one of these two. What do you guys think?

Well, go for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770. In 770's I recommend you a Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition as it is faster than other 770 cards. Between 760 and 770, go for the 770 as it is more optimized than the 760 for playing modern games. Here is a comparison between Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Asus Rog Striker Platinum Edition VS. Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition : Gaming Performance ComparisonIn terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition are noticeably better than theNvidia GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG Striker Platinum Edition. The GTX 770 has a 65 MHz higher core clock speed and 32 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 760. This results in theGTX 770 providing 43 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.The GTX 770 has a 65 MHz higher core clock speed than the GTX 760 and the same number of Render Output Units. This results in theGTX 770providing 2.1 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards. The GTX 760 was released less than a year after the GTX 770, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games. Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings. The GTX 760 has 2048 MB more video memory than the GTX 770, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, overall, the GTX 770 has superior memory performance. The GTX 770 has 38.1 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 760, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 770 is noticeably better than the GTX 760.TheGeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG Striker Platinum Edition has 1152 Shader Processing Units and theGeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition has 1536. However, the actual shader performance of the GTX 760 is 1325 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 770 is 1846. The GTX 770 having 521 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 770 delivers a significantly smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 760.

Okay, just one more question I need answered. Will the 770's 2GB of VRAM be enough for textures on high/ultra/max and all that other good stuff?

For Ultra - no , for High - yes

Well, I live in Serbia and the cards you suggested are way beyond my range. The two I'm torn between are both around 280 €, so, given the circumstances which one of the original two would you go for?

GTX 970 4GB or GTX 780 3GB if much cheaper
