Compatibility Question (H100i)
I'm currently picking the components to upgrade my pc.
So far my specs are:
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Black
PSU: Cooler Master V750S
CPU: Intel i5 4690k
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16Gb 1866Mhz CL9
SSD: Samsung EVO 840 120Gb
CPU cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: GForce GTX 970

Adicionally i'm going to use the optical drive, and two HDD Sata disks i currently have on my computer, as storage.
From what i've seen on several sources the H100i fits on the R4 on the top but is hardware dependent, might have some problems with the height of the mosfets on the motherboard, or with the DDR chip's heatsinks.
Considering my choices, case, motherboard and ram chips, my question is, will it blend! Err.. i mean... fit! =D

Thanks in advance

^Yes you can do that and should be alright, specially when the hot air from the H100i upfront will rise so the top and rear exhaust will work well whilst having cool fresh air intake from the bottom and the side panel fan :) .

Well i could always mount the h100i on the front of the case, but that would bring other problems as the two front intakes would be pulling hot air into the case increasing the overall temperature inside the case. If that actually happens what could be done in terms of airflow configuration? I was thinking 2 front intakes trough the h100i, one bottom intake, one left panel intake (on top of the gpu), rear and two top exhausts.

you have no problems with long GPUs too cause the HDD cage are removable.
Although you can't do push and pull fan config on the Rad but your okay with only 2 fans.

As for the Mobo's Heatsink, I am pretty sure the RAD from the H100i will clear it, but when you put the 120mm fans, it might make contact with the Mobo's Heatsink. But I am not sure, would have to have someone who uses an R4 to confirm it. Its mainly cause that mobo's heat sink is very big and high.
