Maybe your monitor manual wound tell you what you can do.
You could do underscan, so the screen only show 1080p right in the middle of the screen with black border.

no, you can't change the native resolution. Either get a new monitor, live with pixelated, or run it in the native resolution.

You should keep it at the monitor's native resolution or it might be blurry or pixely.
Depends on the quality of your monitors scaler

2880x1800 isn't 1080p.
What is your monitor?
