Screen stays on in power saving but goes black and won't come back on again
Hi,

so I have this really weird problem since recently. I'll try to explain as good as I can.
I'm on Windows 8.1 on a desktop PC. Energy saving settings in windows specify that the screen should turn off after 30 minutes. Most of the time it happens as it's supposed to.

But maybe 1 in 5-10 times the screen just goes dark, but is still turned on. Its light is still green and does not change to orange what it normally does when in energy saving.
It seems like the graphics card goes in power saving but the screen itself does not.
And I can't wake it up again either. I have to shut down my computer forcefully and boot it again to get an image on the screen.

This has happened now for about a month or so. I also recently updated my graphics drivers but this did not help.

Here is my configuration:

Asus Radeon R9 270
Driver Version: 14.301.1001-140915a-176154C
Mainboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 3

Any ideas on what I cound do?

Thanks
