Asus GTX 970 not displaying well!
Hello!

I just bought the brand new Asus GTX 970 STRIX DC2OC-4GD5 and i installed it in my pc!

I connected my Samsung Full HD 1080p monitor with a HDMI cable and the display isn't good enough! It is worse than before! :(

Please check the screenshot and tell me if this is right or something is happening!

Check the screenshot!

Well its not worse than VGA

DVI > HDMI > VGA

Is the problem visable out side of chrome?

Yes the "problem" is visible all over the PC display, the Chrome, the desktop, the folders, the YouTube everywhere!

You can check the fonts in the Chrome tab, are they right?

Agreed. DVI is better than HDMI

Secondly it looks like anti aliasing might not be working right.

Did you reboot after installing the drivers? Otherwise try different driver versions

I downloaded from the ASUS support site the latest drivers for Asus GTX970 and i reboot the system after the installation!

I didn't know that HDMI is worse than the other cables! :??:

Before i install this GPU, the monitor played clear enough with high quality! I don't think it may have problem!

Should i use HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort on a HDTV with this GPU?

HDMI is restricted to 60 fps
use either DVI or Displayport
both can do upto 144 fps
difference between the two is that DVI can carry only video while Displayport can carry both audio and video signals

It is totally not well!

All the letters are very bright all around them and the whole colors look bad!

It is a HDTV monitor and i was using an HDMI cable in the past and the display was better enough than this!

Look the another screenshot

you need to calibrate your colour
nothing wrong with the GPU
its the monitor
because the screenshot still looks absolutely fine
you cant see it because of you monitors
to the screenshot looks perfectly normal
definitely a monitor issue

firstly dont use HDMI with such a good GPU
use DVI or Displayport
and as for the screenshot even though it looks fine to me
but the actual image is in front of you and there might be something we cannot see
firstly see in the nvidia control panel whether the resolution is set to 1920X1080
secondly check the nvidia website for latest drivers for your GPU
since you upgraded its possible you dont have the latest driver

Your screenshot seems fine. What's the problem? You don't need exclamation points for every sentence!
