GPU not compatible or defective?
I just recently purchased a graphics card and when I install it and have everything hooked up it displays nothing. I thought for sure it would be compatible and have no problems but now I'm wondering if I missed something or if the card is just defective.

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Motherboard: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67AC45.html

CPU: 2nd gen i7-2600k

PSU: 600W

Yeah I am pretty sure its probably just a bad card. I will return it for a new one and hope the next one works. Thanks for your help.

If you already have the latest BIOS, then it may be possible the the GPU is bad. Can your return for a new one?

The most recent BIOS update available on this page http://www.msi.com/support/mb/P67AC45.html#down-bios is what I have. I assumed that was the most up to date one. Am I wrong?

^ Agreed. Update your BIOS first. Then try again.

Try removing the GPU.
Make sure there is no dust or anything in the PCI-E slot.
Plug it back in. Make sure it is plugged in tight.
You shouldn't be able to see the gold pins.
The clip on the right side of the slot will lock/click.
Power on the PC now and try again.

If your monitor/tv used a different input from the original setup, make sure you put it on the right input.

I have my old gpu in right now and it is working just fine. I have unplugged and replugged the new gpu many times and it hasn't changed anything. The lights on the card and the card's fans turn on when it is powered up but I just get no display.
