opened dxdiag and found the used card I bought from ebay is AMD Radeon HD 7900. on top of that it didn't come with the packaging as promised.

also how to i enlarge my screen. it's at max resolution 1920x1080 but i can see black bars at all 4 corners of the monitor. it was fine before i installed the card

AMD cards never identify as a specific model. If it is a 7970, it will show up as a 7900 series. If it is a 7850, it will show up as a 7800 series.

I'm not going to read the rest of the thread, I'll just give you an answer from what I've experienced.
I've had the same thing happen to me when I first bought the card. All you got to do is update your drivers and it will read the card right.
R9 280X is literally a renamed HD 7970, that's why it's like that. But after driver update, that should solve your problem.
