How much fps drop
hello guys...can you people please tell me how much fps drop will i notice in games if i shift from a 768p monitor to a 1080p one?? i know its not possible to provide the exact value as it varies from game to game...but just a rough estimate will be enough...because if the performance deteriorates too much then i will probably get a 900p display. Also will a g-sync monitor give any kind of performance boost?? ..considering i own a nvidia gpu? Thank you :)

If you play without AA you should be fine, remaining on ultra.

thanks for your reply @rmark45matsu. i get around 40 to 35 fps on all ultra with max aa and v sync on the most demanding games..so m guessing ultra will not be possible at 1080p..what about high...will that be achievable? i own a gtx 760 direct cu 2

Gsync helps with tearing for nvidia gpu's, it won't increase performance. The amount of gpu stress from 768p to 1080p will be about double, that doesn't equate to exactly 1/2 of your current fps, but you will notice a large drop in fps. If your playing games well over 100 fps it won't be much of an issue to switch over to 1080p.
