Nothing fits into the front panel slots of my tower.
Finally got around to building my own computer. I thought everything was fine until I tried to test the front panel out. I've been trying to insert my headphones and USB drives into the front panel and none of them fit. They usually only go about halfway in. Do I need to do something special to get things in completely?

well, shipping it back would be a pain. i guess it is up to you, is it important for you? is it ok if you just leave it alone?
if you have a soundcard then you really don't need the one in front unless the wires are too short or something.

for mine, i have a soundcard used by my speakers. then a usb headset plugged behind my board (the receiver/transmitter, i have wireless), then i just switch whenever i need to from the windows. no more fiddling behind the pc.

That sounds like what I may end up doing if no one else has any solution.

that is suppose to be standard in size, that is weird. do you have other headsets? or maybe you can take it back to the store so they could try it out themselves?

I bought it off of Amazon a while ago. Dunno if I can take it back. I've been trying to insert multiple headsets but with the same effect. I went through some of the comments on the Amazon page and saw 2 people with the same issue who just shrugged it off but I really wanna see if they're is a solution or if its not that big of a deal.

it should fit, maybe it is a bit tight right now (it should loosen over time)
never heard of a tight usb though, audio jacks are sometimes tight

That's what I thought too but it requires a lot of force to jam something in(just tried it even though its a risk) and even more to pull it out. Is that normal? Im using the Corsair 400R Mid Tower Case if that means anything.

You may have know this, just ensure you connected the audio/mic front panel cable to motherboard audio header.. same with USB 2.0 headers, if your front panel has usb 3.0, your board supported USB 3.0.
