Asus Z87-A Dram LED flashing
Ok guys, so out of no where, turning my PC on this morning it just wouldn't post - it would turn on and everything would seem ok, but there was no post. After faffing around taking out the GPU and what not, I decided to try and run the PC with 1 stick of Corsair Vengance Ram 1600 MHZ. I noticed last night whilst trying to play a game, I had a program in the background (Curse Client - for addons and such in the game) was using 2GB memory, when the game was only using what it is supposed to (1GB).

At the moment it's working fine with 4GB ram(1stick) but obviously this isn't optimal - is my problem solely RAM related? Possible after 10 months that I need to replace this? Please suggest some ideas, Im ready to buy some new RAM but this is my first build so Im not that clued up.

Cheers

Taylor

P.S - build is as follows
Asus Z87-A
I5 4670K @ 3.4 GHZ base
Msi GTX 770
Corsair H100I
Samsung 256gb SSD 840 evo series
Corsair Vengance 8GB (2X4) 1600 MHZ RAM

Move the single stick of memory that is working to each ram slot, this is to ensure you have no dead slots on the motherboard, it should boot in every position. (if it will not boot with the memory in every slot then defective board) Then remove that stick and try the other stick, if your PC does not boot with the other stick then you have a bad stick of memory ( remember memory has a lifetime warranty)
