What is the best connection type for Asus GTX 970 Strix DC2OC 4GD5?
Hello everyone!

I just bought the brand new Asus GTX 970 Strix DC2OC 4GD5 and i am looking the best way to connect it to my HDTV! The HDTV i use is a Samsung 24" Full HD 1080p!

I tried to connect the GPU with the HDTV with a HDMI cable and the result was disappointing!

What is the best way to connect the specific GPU with the HDTV for better performance?

DVI-D or HDMI?

I found the solution searching on Google for the specific HDTV!

To solve the display problem had to rename the HDMI source to PC or DVI PC from the HDTV settings!

It may just be the DPI of the TV itself, or perhaps the contrast ratio and color control limit. The cheap ones are notorious for it. My recommendation is to stay away from TV's if possible. You can pick up a decent 24" monitor for about $100 these days. I got mine on craigslist for $30 when I was strapped for cash and it has not disappointed me once.

DVI-D does not carry sound, HDMI is the only (viable) option, and there's no difference in video quality whatsoever.

Best way to connect is HDMI. Because DVI-D does not transfer any sound to the TV.

What did you find disappointing about it?
