Computer won't turn on after "sleep" mode.
After putting my PC in sleep mode, it completely shut down and nothing seems to turn it on.

I have tried to short the power pins with a screwdriver but no luck, and "erased the RTC RAM" but nothing seems to turn it on. Would love for some help.

Motherboard is a Z78-A (ASUS).

P. S. This has happened before (by putting it in sleep mode) but it has eventually turned on after some time, this time it's not working at all. Weird.

Did not have to be a paperclip, just some metal wire.

By letting the psu sit for 30 minutes unpluged all you are doing is allowing the capacitors in the psu and the motherboard to discharge. You will more then likley experience this problem agian in the future as what you did is only a band-aid to the problem.

After not having a paper clip in my house to try the method (was going to buy one tomorrow) I saw a suggestion to unplug the psu for 30minutes and reboot the pc after you plug the psu back in. This worked for me, everything is up and running.

Did you try what I asked you to try with the paperclip?

Your "test" proves nothing, could still be psu, motherboard, cpu, many things.
Does the rest of your cpu/cooling fans need dusted out?

Ok, I sprayed some air in my psu and let it sit for 7 minutes or so and plugged it back up. I pushed the power button and it booted for like 3 seconds and shut down again. This has never happened, does means it's the psu?

Try doing the paper clip method.

Remove the 24 pin power connector from the motherboard, put one end of the paperclip into pin 16 which is the green wire, and then put the other end into any of the black ground wires. The psu should turn on if the PSU is still ok.
