Help, personal opinions.
Hello, once again i need your help.
Im want to buy a 970, but my cpu is a "little" old and we have some issues with actual games.
My current cpu is i5 650.
I want to know if i should upgrade my cpu or if i can go with the gpu.
If i have to change the cpu i want to what would be the "cheapest" cpu to handle the gtx970.
Thank you again.
greetings

A i5 4460 or a 4590 would be a good choice if you're not overclocking, they're around $170-180.

Honestly the 8350 is only a bit faster than a 2500k. Don't get it for a 970 IMO.

Well, if you went the AMD way you would be pretty much in a dead end street when comes to eventual future upgrades and to be honest if you have a little more patience and save a little more money for the Intel - you won't regret it.

I though about the 4670k to upgrade, but i was wondering if i could "save" some money to get the gpu sooner.
Anyways, could you recomend me some mb for that 4670k.

The first generation of core i processors is really starting to fall behind. The cheapest CPU I could honestly recommend to another gamer is the i5 4440. I would really advise you to go up to the 4690k as it is a fair amount faster and can overclock. Also, a minimum of 8GB of RAM if you don't already have that.
