Hello. I recently bought a new PC and for the GPU I am currently using a Sapphire Dual-X r9 280 3GB. The problem I am having is that when I am playing a game after a certain period of time my screen turns of for a moment and then it turns on again but this this it is all pink and blue and yellow. Basically it is not the colour that it should be.

I have a second monitor to test it on but it doesnt have a HDMI so I cant test it cause I dont have a VGAtoDVI converter. My temps during gaming on the r9 280 are around 70 degrees Celsius and my GPU is only factory overclocked by Sapphire. I can battle this problem only with disconnecting and then reconnecting my HDMI cable to the monitor or if I am in a game to Alt+Tab. The strange thing is that it only does that when I am gaming or watching video online or a movie - both processes use some of the GPU and thats why I thought it might be a GPU problem.

are you sure its not the cable or connection? try wiggling the cable near the connection to your gpu and monitor end of cable and see if the color changes, if so its a loose connection. If that doesnt work, try replacing the cable - it could be a bad cable...thats the usual suspect when it comes to this type of discoloration. If that still doesnt fix it...it sounds like its a bad solder job on the video port to the gpu - especially if this started happening right after installing a new card. If so, RMA that thang...
