Rendering and gaming firepro4900 vs R9 270x
I am currently looking for a pc that will handle sofwares like 3ds max and also give a good output for gaming performance
i was going through autodesk website.they had certified amd firepro4900 for 3ds max. but i had checked that its gives really poor gaming performance.
so i am really confused that how R9 270x will perform. and in addition if i'm going for R9 270x then which one will be perfect 2gb DDR5 or 4gb DDR5?

If I had to pick though, I would say pick the R9 270X and do the best that you can with it. It can render okay, but will play games well. The Firepro can't game well at all. But it renders better than the R9 270X.

Trying to compare the two cards that you have listed is like trying to say who is better between Muhammed Ali and Dale Earnhardt. Both were excellent at what they did, but they did completely different things even though they are both athletes. So really, It is hard in this case to have your cake and to be able to eat it too.

If you want a mix of both, Get a Titan. But, That would be a completely different budget.

The Firepro cards are built with rendering in mind and are not great at gaming. The R9 270X is built for gaming, but is only average to below average at rendering performance. What is more important to you? Rendering or gaming?

A 4GB card will definitely outperform the 2GB version when you add high or ultra details in graphically intensive games and play at higher resolutions. What resolution do you play at?
